Picsel Technologies, a dynamic mobile platform provider enabling rich and intuitive visual experiences on any mobile device, today celebrated winning a double Queen’s Award for Enterprise marking its success in International Trade and Innovation. Picsel is one of the three companies to receive a Double Queen’s Award this year and to celebrate the occasion, His Royal Highness (HRH), The Duke of York travelled to Picsel’s offices in Glasgow to meet Imran Khand, CEO of Picsel Technologies.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the UK’s most prestigious honour for business performance, and is presented each year on the advice of the Prime Minister, who is assisted by an Advisory Committee comprising of representatives from Government, Industry, and Trade Unions. Commenting on the award, Imran Khand, Picsel CEO said: “Receiving two Queen’s Awards is indeed a great honour and in turn acknowledges the company’s efforts and achievements over the past few years. This royal seal of approval for our business clearly positions Picsel as one of the leading technology enablers in the UK.”
HRH, The Duke of York added: “Entries to the Queen’s Awards demonstrate the business and economic impact that innovative companies across the UK are having in every corner of the world. I congratulate the winners on their achievement. Impressing the Awards committee is no mean feat given the calibre of its experts, and the quality and quantity of the submissions.”
