Picsel Technologies, a dynamic mobile platform provider whose pioneering solutions bring content on mobile to life, was last night named ‘International Business of the Year’ at the Fast Growth Business Awards. The awards organised by Crimson Business celebrate the UK’s most ambitious businesses.
The International Business of the Year award was given in recognition of Picsel’s ongoing evolution to become a truly global company and specifically Picsel’s success in Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region. On presenting the award the judges commented Picsel had “proved that if the domestic market isn’t ready you have to look elsewhere and to achieve what it has in the ultra-competitive Asian mobile market is nothing short of outstanding.”
The awards were hosted by Growing Business Magazine, and awards ceremony was hosted by BBC News presenter Kate Silverton, in front of an audience of over 300 entrepreneurs, business journalists and industry leaders at London’s Marriott Hotel.
“This award is a great achievement for Picsel as it recognises the company as being truly international, both in terms of revenue and customers. Picsel’s vision has always been about the ability of mobile technology to deliver a rich mobile experience wherever you are, and we are delighted that the judging panel have endorsed this with such a prestigious award,” said Imran Khand, CEO, Picsel Technologies.
Picsel has, within the space of a decade, grown from a start-up to global player under the guidance of its co-founder and CEO, Imran Khand. Picsel develops solutions that vastly improve the mobile content experience for consumers, helping to drive new revenue streams for content owners, handset OEMs and operators. Picsel’s mobile solutions are recognised worldwide, with more than 160 million Picsel-enabled handsets now in the global marketplace, delivering compelling content experiences for the mobile user independent of screen size, platform or network.
