Picsel Technologies Ltd was named the Scottish Software Company of the Year at the fifth-annual Scottish Software Awards Ceremony (http://www.scottishsoftwareawards.co.uk) on Friday 23rd November at the Radisson SAS, Glasgow. Picsel, which also won Best Embedded Software Solution, was chosen as a result of its success as a leader in the mobile software solutions market, particularly in Japan and Korea. As the markets in Europe and the US catch up with the Far East, Picsel is increasingly at the forefront of developments in these regions as well.
They have remained committed to their headquarters in Glasgow as the company has developed into a global player. Picsel continues to expand and develop the local economy, making them a significant employer of Scottish talent. The company currently employs over 270 software engineers in Scotland creating technology at the cutting edge of mobile applications, content delivery and new services.
