This two day conference attracted a wealth of audiences from European content players, operators, OEMS, press, and other influencers in the mobile sphere.

Khand opened this morning’s session alongside Symbian and Microsoft spokespersons with a panel that discussed ‘disruptive technology’ and how to carve out a viable and cohesive business model to content on mobile.

Khand gave a well-crafted speech and visual demo addressing the main issues and solutions within the content industry, in addition to highlighting consumer and brand owner perspectives, in a market where they are king.

In response to both panel and audience, Khand addressed a number of points: the need to bridge the gap between content providers, OEMs, network operators, and the consumer; the single platform single solution synergy within the industry; brand integrity is key and therefore content remains king to encourage investment from the brand owners; and finally that offering a superior experience on mobile will encourage the user to engage with more content, hence driving more revenue.

Throughout this two day conference many other hot topics within the mobile media spectrum were discussed such as the format wars, brand investment, convergence of both software and the hardware, and the scope for advertising and marketing.

Of what was a productive couple of days for both industry and Picsel, Khand commented: “the industry must wake up and realise that this is a revolution, not evolution of content on mobile that we need to deliver. Picsel is facilitating a solution whereby consumers can access rich content anywhere, anytime, on any device”.
