Double Queen’s Awards triumph is an honour for Picsel Technologies

Picsel Technologies, a dynamic mobile platform provider delivering rich and intuitive visual experiences to any mobile device, has been awarded a double Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its success in International Trade and Innovation.

The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the UK’s most prestigious awards for business performance. Presented each year by HM The Queen, on the advice of the Prime Minister, and assisted by an Advisory Committee that includes representatives of the Government, industry and commerce, and trade unions.

“Receiving two Queen’s Awards is indeed a great honour and gives acknowledgment to the whole Picsel team for their solid achievements over the past 12 months,” said Imran Khand, CEO, Picsel Technologies. “The accolade of a royal seal of approval for our business clearly positions us as one of the top performing businesses in the UK.”

Picsel’s International Trade success has been in its ability to increase exports five times over to U$ 46 million over three years since its inception in 1999 with its main markets being Korea, Japan and the USA. Also, cementing a prestigious partner base of leading manufacturers including Samsung, NTT DoCoMo, Sharp, Motorola, NEC, KTF, SoftBank and LG.

Meanwhile Picsel’s Innovation success stems primarily from its ePAGE technology - a graphics rendering engine for mobile devices providing the best possible user experience bar none through enabling consumers to interact with every type of content, in all its original richness, on any kind of device. To date, ePAGE technology has been preloaded onto more than 200 million devices worldwide.
